Polaris Announces Second Generation RZR PRO R FACTORY Race Rig

UTV racing has skyrocketed in popularity over the last decade, with the once-unknown subset of the off-road racing realm now becoming a highly competitive and popular segment at events like King of the Hammers and more. Polaris has long been supporting racers with its factory-backed RZR Pro R platform, and for 2024, Polaris is coming out swinging with a fully upgraded version of its race-going rig.

Debuting at the San Felipe 250, the second-gen RZR Pro R Factory machines have received a full overhaul to keep them competitive. Included in these upgrades are an all-new one-piece chassis that incorporates what Polaris claims is both a stronger and stiffer frame, as well as a number of electronic upgrades. Polaris has also revamped the bodywork so as to modernize the look and improve the durability. With focus pillars of power, strength, and control, the ProStar Fury 2.0L engine and associated CVT should help drivers stay near the front of the pack. This powertrain is shared with RZR models available at your local dealership, and Polaris is proud to state that it shares front and rear drive,

transmission, power steering rack, wheel bearings, all CVT components, including belt, plus control arms, front and rear knuckles, ball joints, and trailing arms with the consumer-grade machines.

There are race-rig specific upgrades, including but not limited to upgraded front and rear bumpers, a new muffler, an all-new roll cage, high-performance brakes from Alcon, DYNAMIX suspension, MoTeC ECU work, a carbon fiber prop shaft, heavier-duty upper control arms, and greater fuel capacity for long race stints.
